Directions To The Byre Pattletons Barn from
Hastings A21/A28
Take the A21 north of Hastings turn right on to the A28 to Westfield.
Westfield is the first village you come to, as you approach the village
there a sharp left bend followed in 50 yards by a sharp right
bend with the church on your left. Doleham Lane is 1 mile from
the
church, travel through the village passing the Old Court
House Pub and Village shop all on left, as you leave the village the
road
becomes straight with a slight incline, towards the end of the staight
and on the brow of incline turn right onto Doleham lane. After
1/3 mile
turn right into private lane sign posted" Pattletons Farm" . There are
four properties on
Pattletons Farm lane, the First house, (on left), so called because it
is, then Pattletons Farm House also on left then you will the come to
Pond
cottage on right,( a traditional Wealden Oast house), opposite is The
Byre and Barn as pictured above. |

Directions To The Byre Pattletons Barn from Tenterden A28Continue on A28 pass over a cross road at Broad Oak to Brede, Red Lion Pub on left the road now starts to descend with several sharp bends, at the bottom you cross over the River Brede the road will now turn sharp right and start to ascend take left turn in 50 yards onto Doleham Lane (there is a sign post hidden on right). Pass Little Knight's Oast after 1/4 mile you will come to an unmarked T junction, turn right which is a continuation of Doleham Lane.After 1/3 mile turn left onto private lane sign posted " Pattletons Farm". There are four properties on Pattletons Farm lane, the First house, (on left), so called because it is, then Pattletons Farm House also on left, you will then come to Pond cottage on right,( a traditional Wealden Oast house), opposite is The Byre and Barn as pictured above. |

Directions to The Byre Pattletons Barn From A259 from either directionAt Guestling Thorn take the turning for Three Oaks after 1/3 mile turn right on Fourteen Acre Lane after 1&1/8 mile you will come to an unmarked T junction, turn left onto Doleham Hill. The lane will now start to descend quickly passing Doleham Station to the bottom cross over Doleham Ditch ascending quickly 1/2 mile after Doleham Station you will come across an unmarked T junction bear left (it is straight on but left of the two options!) onto Doleham Lane. After 1/3 mile turn left onto private lane sign posted "Pattletons Farm". There are four properties on Pattletons Farm lane, the First house, (on left), so called because it is, then Pattletons Farm House also on left you will then come to Pond cottage on right,( a traditional Wealden Oast house), opposite is The Byre and Barn as pictured above. |
